Tira is simply sweet perfection - hence her name. At just 5 months of age, she was a hit at the 2007 SC Fall Classic and brought home two blue ribbons - one for Model and the other for In-Hand Trail. She was the hit of the show and everyone wanted to stop by and visit with Tira. Besides her outstanding silver grulla coliring, she has a beautiful head, soft eyes, perky ears, and a beautifully elegant frame. She is always curious and very intelligent, but she mostly loves her human companionships. She is very gentle and happy to have people near her. And if that weren't enough, her breeding is extraordinary - grand-daughter of Toddy's Perfection on the bottom and Southern Playboy on the top. |
Tira also has a nice foxtrotting gait and exhibits it in the pasture and in-hand. We believe she will be a nice addition to our breeding program in the future, but in the meantime, we will concentrate on her show career. We will have her tested this Spring to see if she carries the creme gene and we will make sure she is a grulla by testing for the agouti gene. Because she was so beautifully blue last year, we do not expect to find she carries the agouti, but we still plan to test for it to put aside any doubts as to her true color. |
We suspect she will be absolutely stunning when she sheds out this Spring as a yearling. She is currently gaining weight and filling out. Look for new pictures this Spring. |
